The deployment is finished, and things are getting back to normal. Feel free to enquire about bookings for shifts or kit.

Also, here are some links to some of CNN’s packages out of Iraq I was involved with. All vision copyright CNN, except where indicated in the clips. (Aspect ratio error is on CNN’s side)

Just an update on the situation here. I’m still in Iraq, and I’m likely to be here for at least another week.

Sadly, this means I’m not available for any shifts or gear hire until at least the 22nd of January. Please don’t hesitate to email with any enquiries though, we’re not completely cut off from the world here.

That’s right. I’m off to Australia for a very brief holiday, then on return I’m being deployed to the Middle East for bureau cover.

As a result, I’ll be unavailable for bookings, or for the loaning of equipment until January.

Feel free to follow me on Twitter, via @newswrthyvision.

One great, and one not as great, depending on your situation.

The great one, is that Nick is now Hostile Environment certified. The certificate was issued by Pilgrims International. A copy can be forwarded to you should you be thinking of using my services in hostile environments.

The second, is that Newsworthy Vision is now VAT registered. As a result, any invoice with applicable services being charged for, will now have 20% VAT added.

Please contact me if this is an issue for your company or situation.

I’ve decided to become more pro-active with updates of this website, rather than just being an ad for my services. Let’s see how long this lasts hey?

I’m aiming to particularly post special events that I happen to be covering, deployments, and any new products I have available for hire.

So to kick things off, here’s my first publicly available video shot by my new Canon 5D DSLR. It’s called “Adventures in 5D”.

Based on that title, it’s lucky I’m not usually hired to come up with the names of things. Make sure you watch in 1080 mode.

The 5D kit will be available for hire very soon. Stay tuned.
